Aruthator is the oldest ancient dragons alive. He has a deep seeded respect for the primal culture of the white dragons. Hunting and communing with the spirits of their ancestors were very important parts of his culture. Aruthator constantly struggled as a leader between the balance of the teachings from his youth about what it meant to be a white dragon vs what his kingdom needed. Often he would go back and forth between doing what was right for his people and what was "right" by the rules of the teachings of old.
 Because of this Aruthator found himself constantly displeasing one group or another so he attempted to constantly balance the decisions he made knowing this. Eventually he found a way to do both things. An alliance between the white and red dragons. Aruthator saw the army Vraxis had amassed at The Battle Of Flying Flame and was unconfident in his armies ability to win a war against that. He reached out to Jigoroth Czar of the Emberlands where they met and quickly formed an alliance. At first Aruthator was simply using Jigoroth for his own needs and he assumed Jigoroth was doing the same. But as they spent more and more time together they began to form a kinship. A brotherhood like bond. Both kingdoms benefited greatly from the alliance so it continued far past the point of the first dragon war. Jigoroth eventually managed to convince Aruthator of the ways of a family and the many benefits that came of it.
 Despite what many believed about Jigoroth Aruthator knew the truth about his friends feelings. No matter how cruel or merciless Jigoroth could seem to his enemies or people at times Aruthator knew Jigoroth loved his family very much. Aruthator at first shrugged it off and found it silly but the more time he spent around Jigoroth the more he realized how much he envied him. Eventually Aruthator Found himself a mate. A red dragon women Surprisingly enough. Shorlet sister of Rameera. Now Aruthator and Jigoroth were truly brothers in every way. Shorlet and Aruthator had two children together. Shigoroth was there first born. Named in honor of her uncle. She was a bright glossy light red almost pink color. First of her kind. Smaller then most dragons but incredibly smart. Second they had Arugoth a boy. A true white dragon in every way. Aruthator loved his daughter but he had a connection his son he never thought he could have. Aruthator taught him everything he could about the ways of the ancient dragons before them, and Arugoth soaked it all up. For quite some time Aruthator lived out a life he never dreamed of, all thanks to his friend and brother Jigoroth. When Vraxis returned with from the Eternal sea however the 2 brothers talked out the best course of action for their kingdoms.
 They eventually decided on siding with Vraxis and they were the first to do so. The potential of such a power was to great for them to resist. When the reckoning happened everything Aruthator had created for himself collapsed before his eyes. His kingdoms fell, his wife and children slaughtered by the gods and elves of old, his subject brought down to nearly 10% of their previous numbers. Had it not been for the intervention of Balagos and the red dragons this could have very well been the end of the white dragons. Aruthator now resides in the deepest cavern within the frigid bluff encircled by the ember isles.
 Aruthator is a fraction of his former self. He has seeded almost all control of the frigid bluff to Balagos and the culture he once to loved is dying. Balagos tries his best to convince his uncle to find another mate and take the proper steps to rebuild his kingdom but he has had no luck. Leaving the task almost entirely up to Balagos. Knowing it's what his father would want Balagos does what he can t help his uncle and families long time ally but deep down Balagos wonders if Aruthator will ever be the same again.
