Kheldor

Demographics

Kheldor is the only farming village within Kervia. The dwarvish ancestry of Kervia runs deep in this village. 60% of the country's citizens are dwarves. The other 40% is made up of humans, halflings, and a surprisingly large ratfolk population. Almost all of the work done here is hard labor. A small group of engineers does reside here to maintain the massive windmill and the various watermills and aqueducts.

Government

Doba, a male ratfolk, and Gogrum Vask, a male human, are the two elected officials of Kheldor. Each of them has a lineage descending all the way back to the founding of Kervia.

Defences

A militia of a couple hundred men and women is led by Zog, brother of Doba. The militia protects the village and farms from wildlife and various bandits. A series of roads also connects the village to Voldahn, Mirdur Watch, and Mornwihr. Meaning help is never more than a day's journey away.

Industry & Trade

Livestock and produce make up the vast majority of goods the village produces for trade.

Infrastructure

A massive Aredite windmill that is enchanted with a warming spell powers almost the whole city. The rest of the cities power is taken from watermills. This power is used to distribute heat and gas to all the various homes and establishments in the village.

Assets

Kheldor is home to some of the only fertile farmland in Kervia. Due to this, Kheldor quickly became a predominantly farming village. Directing almost all of its resources towards agriculture and livestock raising. It was a rough few years at first, but the village quickly became capable of providing 70% of the country's live stock and 60% of its food.

Guilds and Factions

-Agricultural guild -Farmer's Guild -The Rangers(Zog's Militia)

History

Built under the order of Eros, the Hungry. One of Kervia's most tyrannical rulers. While he was not as boisterous or open with his cruelty as Vraxis is, his treatment of his people was just as vile. Out of demand to feed his growing kingdom, Eros made this decision. Kheldor and its villagers, out of a desire and need to feed their friends and family, did everything they could to make the village work.

Tourism

Outsiders are allowed within the village, though many tend to not stay long.

Architecture

The village is built predominantly from wood and stone. Stone makes up much of the foundation, while tall wooden buildings with scaffolding, rails, and ladders lead to the many buildings built on top of one another.

Natural Resources

Because of the harsh cold temperatures that plague Kervia year-round, growing most normal crops of livestock is next to impossible. The Kervish have had to use their ingenuity to find the perfect vegetation that they can grow in the cold. Not only have they found natural plants that can grow in the cold, but they have also cross-pollinated their own plants to create the perfect crop for their enviornment.
