The Ember isles
Structure
The Ember isles are under the absolute control of the current Czar. However, Jigoroth, one of the first czars, created the Ember Vanguards. A unique military force designed to maintain order within the country. The Ember Vanguards are stationed all across the islands and have a Harold of Order that commands the vanguard and the Harold's answer to the Czar and the members of his council. Balagos has only entrusted three individuals to be on his Imperial Council.
Culture
The Ember Isles have a very militaristic ideal and culture. More so than others, they have been shaped by the various wars raged across Agodale. Specifically, watching their allies of The Frigid Bluff torn down to a mere fraction of their previous numbers and power. Jigoroth, the previous Czar, pushed for an alliance with the Frigid Bluff, and to many Volcanites, they are one kingdom. This has driven a need for protection among the people. Every man and woman born into The Ember Isles is required to devote a portion of their life to military service. This idea is embedded in the minds of the young. While in school, every child learns how to fight and use all manner of weapons. The Volcanites are fierce and unwavering. They will do anything to protect their home and their allies.
Assets
The Ember Isles host the most disciplined and well-trained army in all of Agodale, the Flaming Legion. While it is not the largest army, it is by far the most feared. Trained from infancy, members of this unit are some of the most deadly soldiers Agodale has to offer. Oddly enough, the most militaristic kingdom is also home to some of the most beautiful flowers and flora in all of Agodale, as well as a unique root known as the Uvoss root. The Uvoss root is known for its unique anti-aging qualities.
History
The Ember Islands were not always the fearsome powerhouses they are today. In the early years of the country's conception, they were relatively peaceful people who appreciated the little beauties in life. The original islanders were very skilled in agriculture. They used cross-pollination to create some of the most beautiful flora in all of Agodale. They created a gorgeous home for themselves, but unfortunately, it was not a well-protected one. The isles along the side of the Frigid Bluff were two of the weaker kingdoms within Agodale. Which is why, during the first Wrym War, Vraxis sought to conquer the islands after the brass dragons. However, there was one individual who feared something like this would transpire sooner than later. Balagos was the firstborn son of Jigoroth. Balagos spent the entirety of his early years studying and creating military strategy so he could defend his home should the time ever come. Balagos, with a mere fraction of the numbers the Vraxis army controlled, was able to fend off the Black Dragons army, protecting his people. This did not come without great loss of life, however. This event drastically changed the outlook the volcanoes had on life and was the spark of a great alliance between the Red and White Dragons. Jigoroth, the current Czar, began to drastically restructure the islands into what they are today.
