Session 7: A New Chapter Report

General Summary

The party, upon returning to Castleton, encounters Embress, the daughter of Daze's father's coworker. At Daze's mother's behest, they take her under their wing. Daze convinces Carnage to go to the Temple of the Deep in order to prevent furthering his transformation. The party sends off Carnage and mourns Gloria's death. The next day, an Elven trader, Posie comes into town seeking an escort across the Razor's Edge, through Lasceye to Kaisu. Her own retinue was killed by basilisks in the Wandering Woods, so the party decides to take up with her. 
Traveling into the harsh peaks of the Razor's Edge proves difficult and harrowing. Things only grow more tense when they encounter a team of Windriders who insist on escorting them along their journey to Athenris. They find the Elves, in general, cold and distant. One of them, Eloise, however, bonds with Seraphina over her connection to Goldie, her Griffin. She takes up teaching Seraphina how to utilize Goldie to help her hunt and even begins giving her flying lessons, with her captain's begrudging approval. Throughout the journey, Sylva and Ode grow closer and Ode gets some insight into Sylva's song-crafting process. The closeness between them is a cause of serious discomfort for the Windriders - particularly the Captain, Killian.
As they near Athenris, the party encounter a group of Yeti. With the Windriders taking on another group to the east, the team fights four Yeti and emerge victorious, if a little worse for wear. Eager to capitalize on their victory, Seraphina skins the yetis and they craft cloaks for each of the party members.

Rewards Granted

A Yeti-skin cloak for each party member and Sylva (2 for Embress).
