Aelianov Dynasty

The Aelianov Dynasty is a loosely familial organisation of warrior-mystics based in the Sanctuary of Aelian above the city of Osvar in Berngaard. They were founded in their highest form by the high elf bladesinger Aelian, and under the rule of Aelian's daughter Aethra they became the ruling power in the region during the time of the Mage Sovereigns, with Aethra being the first to adopt the title 'Little Mother of the North.'
As sovereigns, the dynasty largely abandoned the high sancturay and instead occupied the luxurious Auroral Palace which was once home to Aelian's progenitors, the Auroral Chorus. They continued to train their children as paragons - predecessors to the examplars of the Sacred Republic - martial artists and mystics, using their powers to enforce their rule and protect their lands and people. Adopting promising individuals from across the sovereignty and bringing them into the elite Osviri culture, the dynasty simultaenously encouraged a culture of racial tolerance and integration - members of the dynasty mixed blood of elves, humans, dwarfs, goliaths and gnomes - and strengthened the lines of class division between Osviri and Gaardiri.
