Argo

The premier trading port of the northern coast of Talahaea and capital of Argea, Argo is the foremost of the six cities of the province, although not without contest. Its wealth elevates it above even the Church centre of Damas, which suffered terribly during the war when the Sovereigns struck back against the Cults of Knowledge and Magic.
Argo’s wealth and power are in trade, and its Guilds are mighty indeed. It has the largest merchant fleet in the Sacred Republic, and the merchant princes of Argo hold unrivalled power. Many in the Church and Estates consider the princes to be impious upstarts, but lack the means to dethrone them from their place of power.
