Sontain Castle, The Royal Palace of Anzia

Originally a humble stone affair, Castle Sontain has been gradually improved by each and every Anzian Grand King. Today the Castle is massive, almost being a town in its own right, and has many buildings incorporated into its keep. With the growing religous fervour of Anzian kings, Castle Sontain has been upgraded with a massive cathedral incorporated into the complex.

Purpose / Function

Originally intended for defense, it has gradually turned more into a palace for the royal family of Anzia. That is not to say it is not an imposing fortress.

Alterations

The Stone keep has been signifigantly expanded into an impressively sized fortress of marble. A series of sub buildings like a Cathedral, the Royal Armoury, the Royal Barracks, and an additional wing for the housing of the Royal Guard, have also been added over the centuries.
