Aietherhall
Adventurers come and go. Some live long lives of gold and glory, others buckle to the terrors they find, only finding solace in retirement or death. Few find importance in what they do, even fewer find their names written within history books but sometimes all it takes is a spark, a chance meeting of old friends, that leads to a burning chain reaction that alters the course of history.
Aietherhall has seen sweeping changes in the last decade. A civil war on multiple fronts, sweeping cultist and monster activity, a large rift that has opened in the sky, but things have gone on. The war seemingly at a stalemate dividing the nation into three fronts, Aietherhall to the north, Flaicor to the south, and Draken Carade along the Crag mountains. The three have held their armies back as they keep their strained ties in suspension for the time being. The tear in the sky while first seen as a world ending event seems to have just been ignored. Over the past 3 years since its arrival things have just continued as very little study is known about and has been done. However since its arrival large amounts of planar arrivals have been noted in adventurer's guilds and notice boards, some good, most detrimental as the creatures ravage villages and nature as they clash with their strange new surroundings.
