The Doctrine of Man is an Iwo-based antireligious order that preaches mankind-centred civility over faith in any deity or otherworldly force. Mannites are devout atheists, oxymoronic as that may sound, and place all of their belief in humanity's inherent strength and potential as a species. They hold many values pertaining to preserving culture and community, and harshly reject interfacing with or giving into supernatural vices. The use of blighted technology and electricity are highly scrutinized by the Doctrine, as is the shadow plague and its victims. For those willing to conform to the Iwolo ideal of civility, being a Mannite provides an unshakable haven and steadfast reminder of the value in untainted humanity. For those less willing to stay within the lines, the Doctrine of Man is an oppressive and restrictive baselisk, willing to snuff out anyone daring enough to harness powers beyond human comprehension.
