Draygar Crumb
Background: A former soldier and adventurer, Draygar spent many years traveling and fighting before finally settling down in Mariston with his spouses, Ulis and Estelle. As the proprietor and chef of the Golden Aerie, he splits his time between running the inn and swapping stories with travelers to stay current on events outside the town.
Appearance: The innkeeper is a muscular, dark-skinned man with short, black curly hair. He is usually dressed in a leather vest and breeches unless he is in the kitchen when he dons a well-stained and singed apron.
Mannerisms: Draygar is generally a jovial person and welcomes everyone into the inn. He will not, however, tolerate rudeness or mistreatment of his staff or customers. If he gets to talking or telling stories, he will forget everything else he was doing until reminded by someone or by the smoke from the kitchen.
Motivations: Draygar enjoys swapping stories of his past for those of the adventurers that wander through town. He gets a vicarious thrill hearing the tales but he is truly happy to have settled down with his partners. He also prides himself on serving unusual dishes and will prepare almost anything if the ingredients are available.
