Belial, Lord of Heresy
Father of the Forsaken
Ruler of the Realm of Heresy, Belial is one of the Rulers of the Nine Realms of Hell, and is sometimes known as the Father of the Forsaken. This is due to his acceptance of those who turn from their Gods, whether they are the ones that forsake their God or are the ones being forsaken. Because of this unholy action, and the acceptance of the unholy, he was granted the title of the Lord of Heresy, and named his realm accordingly.
Reveling in the undoing of the traditional Gods, Belial is seen by many as an evil being, seen as anti-divine, but is one of the most avid distributors of Pacts for many mortal souls, both living and dead, creating a vast army of demons that roam his domain.
The Realm of Heresy, due to Belial's sheer disdain of the Gods, consists of many pseudo religious buildings, which, instead of depicting the Gods are they traditionally are, show Gods at their worst, slaying other Gods, eating the hearts of mortals, or many other acts just as nefarious. Outside of these buildings in the Realm are numerous, enclosed courtyards, built to look like graveyards, but the tombstones are replaced with many of the Gods kneel and begging, making the entire Realms a mockery of the divine.
