Daemonborne

The Daemonborne, similar to The Harbinger Born, is an extremely rare condition where the person affected by it can take demonic forms, having parts of them completely change. It is said that it occurs when an individual becomes a host to a powerful demon or devil, forcing The Ignari Curse to activate in them partially, at a much more accelerated rate. This will lead to them still maintaining their personality and sanity, for the most part, unless the inhabiting demon or devil becomes too attached to the body, taking over entirely and having a new presence in the Material Realm. Sometimes one can become a Daemonborne through a mutual agreement between the mortal and the demon or devil; however, most cases are simply involuntary, with someone simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, causing a demon or devil to be able to inhabit their body.

Symptoms

Due to only partially causing the Ignari mutation, Daemonborne can vary in appearance, going anywhere from having half heir body appear demonic to simply having demonic eyes, or grey veins coming from a part of the body. Many can hide that they are Daemonborne, while others cannot, having entire limbs look demonic or even their entire body become something that no longer resembles anything humanoid. The altering of the appearance itself depends on the devil or demon that inhabits the person, as well as their intentions, as a simple servant can be much less affected than a potential champion. It should be noted that tiefling can become Daemonborne, despite being immune to the Ignari Curse.

Treatment

There are a few ways to cure a Daemonborne; however, none of which are easy. One way is to get in contact with the possessing demon or devil and convince them to release the affected person. Another is to simply sever the connection altogether, either by breaking the terms of the deal, if one was made, which often results in the death of the affected person, or to diminish the demon's control in the Material Realm. This can be done by slaying other Daemonborne to weaken the demon/ devil's influence in the Material Realm, or travel to Hell itself and slay the demon/ devil. They will simply be reborn later on, but all contracts and possession will be reset, causing any Daemon affected by the demon to no longer be suffering from it.

Prevention

DO NOT MAKE DEALS WITH DEMONS OR DEVILS, IT IS ALWAYS A TERRIBLE IDEA.
