The Isle of Beasts

Once being an isle that had held refuges from the Cursed Isles (The Nashuto ), the Isle of Bests is an island in the Tirmari Archipelago where a civilisation of 'beasts' has been established after the Nashuto people who lived there went extinct. Now living in the ruins that the prior civilisation had built, the beasts of the isle, which largely consist of the more civilised monsters, such as minotaurs and centaurs, form a rudimentary society, which is, curiously enough, part of Tirmar's government, with the citizens of the Isle of Bests also being citizens of The Tirmari Archipelago.
The Isle is one of the smaller isles on the archipelago, being the closest to Tirmar's largest isle, and relatively close to its capital, Zafeíri, and is noted for being a place that is often visited by archaeologists who wish to study the extinct race of humans. Many of these archaeologists do not adhere to the rules put in place to both protect them and to respect the monster's territory, causing many to lose their lives while travelling there, giving the isle a notorious reputation.
