The Kathoid Monastery
Built upon the peaks of The Kathoid Range, some of the aarokocra of Aither formed the Kathoid Monastery, so that they could live the way that their god, Ventus, does. This meant true freedom, so they flew as high as they could go to separate themselves from the structure and restriction of the societies below. They became known as the Monks of the Liber Koss, learning martial arts as a form to free themselves of many of the physical restrictions that they could have. All monks have the last name of Koss because of this.
The Monastery itself is built with many square, tower like structures, with oriental style roofs. Each has door in place of windows, due to the aarokocra being able to fly out and enter another building quite easily, but some basic bridges between each building, which hang over a the edge of the mountains, connect the building; however, many are no longer safe in the winter, due to that season's increase in dangerous winds.
