Chapter 1: Gather the Party

An adventuring party begins in Hiruela, the port city of adventure. Our group have been all working independently for the same temp agency, Professional Provisions Inc., for the last few days and the first scene opens on them answering a summons sent by their shared boss, Xepug Malinga, in the HQ.
After being recognized by the leader for exemplary work, he tells them that they have been invited to attend a highly exclusive audition for the Venture Roadshow. In this room, Xepug, accompanied as usual by his bodyguard, Shimron, offers a proposal to this would-be fellowship. This trial is broadcast via magical mirrors, and includes a number of different challenges after which they may be offered jobs by anonymous guild leaders, most notably The Chaturanga, which is the organization that supports the demigod of the land, Orathis, Demigod of Civilization.
