Chapter 2: The Roadshow
The Four Horsemen entered the Venture Roadshow via a magical portal which they found on a mundane stone wall within Hiruela, and find themselves transported to a rectangular room covered in stone with no exits. Another party enters the same space as them, and before the mounting tension manifests, the guide of the festivities, a serpintine, shimmering blue fairy dragon Lakota glides through the wall and explains the ground rules of the interview the various individuals find themselves in. Soon after he is done, a tone sounds, doors appear where they one were not there and the show is underway.
At the end of the hall is a small compartment, occupied by the soothsayer Vaarta. She uses tarot cards to divine the fate of the group, and will assist them by communing with the stars to place the party in the challenges best suited to demonstrate their skill and value to the would-be patrons for that moon-cycle.
The group find themselves in a void space breaking targets, sending a shot to the moon and even facing off with the devil himself (sort of). In the end, both groups make it to the top of the tower, only to see it all come tumbling down, literally. The group barely escapes, and as for their would be competitors, they show no mercy and the green-cloaked band meet their end.
The group is rewarded with their lives, a hearty pat on the back and a portal home. They hope the mysterious interview has gone in their favor, and they will hear back soon.
