The Midnight Court
Long ago in a time lost to history, a grand and powerful witch built a library to house all the knowledge she had gathered through the ages. The library expanded as the years began to drag on and rumors spread of a beautiful witch who knew all, Avalerth.
Wizards of all ages, untrained and only knowing the basics of their power ask her for guidance and training. She rejected them all but through this, they began to settle within the area. Building homes and living their lives.
One day the Witch saw a young slave boy cowering in fear after she caught him stealing bread from her basket. This boy had made the bread and himself disappear. What she assumed was a simple invisibility spell was much more. The child was removing himself from the minds of others, making it seem like he did not exist.
Through him, she saw the raw talent that could be harnessed. She decided to teach him and him only for the next 50 years. The library evolved and became known as The Midnight Court, a school to teach those talented enough to wield magic they do not understand.
After the battle of Illotos, Avalerth left with her husband Ar-Seid into the afterlife and the seat of Dean was open. Tormin saw no need to carry on himself and so appointed Blaze, one of the 7 heroes, to be his replacement. She chose to continue his lead and make no huge changes to the school.
The houses within the school are split based on the Elder Dragons.
Four Houses:
- Baloryx - House of Abjuration and Transmutation
- Selen - House of Evocation and Necromancy
- Valisha - House of Divination and Illusion
- Varos - House of Conjuration and Enchantment
