Zinmaer is a Tirafelian wizard and a master illusionist, as well as a staunch believer in the Elder Dragons.

Personal history
Zinmaer had lived in Tirafel for most of his life, serving Jorel along with the mage Zavist. At one point the hunter Macon completed a contract by killing a griffin for General Jorel, but instead of paying the hunter, Zinmaer convinced Jorel that Macon was a charlatan and shouldn't be paid. On top of that, Jorel then gave Macon barely enough time to leave the kingdom.
During the war, he and his wife Lida led the front lines of Tirafel aiding in the campaign to hold back the Nightwalkers but during an attack on their camp, she was stabbed in the chest. Using every ounce of his power he froze her body to a point that the decay of darkness could not progress further.
Being a strong believer in the Elder Dragons, he helped with the Council's efforts in trying to learn more about the stones of power, going as far as attempting to create his own and almost succeeded, believing he was acting in the people's defense because "Time should be something only we should control". However, it proved difficult to create a stable source of power for these stones and he resorted to kidnapping children to drain them of their magic.
Zinmaer soon left Tirafel but four years later Snippet sent word that he'd tracked down the Stone of Power he crafted himself, which was taken by Blaze and the Akeroth Confederation of Wizards, specifically the Time Stone. Using the money left to him by his wife's estate he decided to move to Tempora and build a tower to try and wield time in his hands to restore his wife back to a state before her demise.
His experiments seemed to have caused Tempora to be stuck in a constant state of flux, looping for eternity unable to be broken but he decided that he will use this to his advantage and release his wife from her sleep to live a life together within the loop.

Zinmaer is an extremely powerful and skilled wizard, showing proficient talent and great knowledge in many different areas of magic. He had an encyclopedic knowledge and proficiency in illusions, is incredibly talented in alteration and divination, and is also the only Wizard other than Blaze to have created an unnatural Stone of Power.
