The Heroes of Agasi

The crossroads are marked by small shrines to the local hero. Mighty statues rise up in the middle of cities, with bundles of flowers, food, and small gifts left at their feet by reverent admirers. A tax collector rides by a rowdy tavern clamouring to hear another about their favorite champion, tallying what he needs to see to next. There is a peace in the air, broken only by the shouts of children playing hero games in a field nearby...
The Agasi Kingdom reveres the great heroes whom have graced its soil, and go to great lengths to honor them. Popular ones become household names, and tales of their exploits are always a great favorite among any crowd. They are celebrated every five years with the Gala of Heroes festivals, which are elaborate and quite extensive.

Some of the most popular heroes are listed below, each with a declaration of theirs. Oftentimes this is a quote carved upon their statues or scribbled upon a souvenir - whether it was originally said by the hero is a moot point to the eager populace, as the tall tales only grow taller the more times they are repeated.
