Sintashta
The Sintashta are the pastoralists and herders of the Parsan Plateau. They tend to form small warbands that herd Gav-e Naer, Onager, horses, camels, sheep, and goats for subsistence. They are known for three things: their fortifications, their ferocious charioteering, and theri metalcraft.
A sedentary people in a land that might more naturally support nomadic cultures (which exist here too), the Sintashta have built incredible forts out of the mud and stone of the earth. It is likely they have done this, not only to protect themselves from raids and the monsters of the plains, but alos to protect their forges and mills, which are not conducive to a migratory lifestyle.
The Sintashta tend to be led by warrior elites, who have proven themselves on the hunting grounds inr aids or against ferocious monsters. Their warriors are all skilled in charioteering and they use chariots, both a faster and a slower warchariot style. They shoot bows and launch javelins from their vehicles. They also carry axes and heavy spears for hand to hand combat as well. Some of their light chariots are scythed on the wheels, and used to cut through opposing calvarly before their slower war chaoriots can decimate the ranks with ranged fire.
Their fortified circular towns are surrounded by timber reinforced earthen walls and timber gate structures. Outside walls surrounded by man-deep ditches. About 50-60 houses inside. It is said that these villages sit atop ancient mines that go deep into the earth.
Sintashta villages are metallurgical centers for bronze and silver metalworks. Worshipping gods of war and of industry, many Parsan's consider the Sintashta heretical, especially because of their ground based burials that contravene the rites of death that forbid contaminating Ahura Mazda's creation with the filth of Ahriman.
As the Sintashta are a ferocious people, their respite and recreation reflects that. They are known for their competitive chariot races and wrestling matches.
It is beleived that they are descended from the Repha'im and have carried the competitiveness with them into the plateaus. They take in the strong of all races and many orcs, dwarves, and humans are among them.
There are stories of all female tribes of warriors as well, including a warrior queen named Tomyris who keeps the heads of those she has conquered in bowls of wine.
Marad is one known Sintashta settlement. The Skudra Clan are another further East of the Parsan Plateau.
