Tyre

Tyre includes the City-state of Tyre itself and some outlying villages. It has recently, since the ice began to recede, begun expanding its influence North into newly emerging lands. and has funded much of the growth of Snowfals over the last 3 years.   The city is bisected by Karun River. The North Ward is dominated almost entirely by warehouses and merchants guilds, and is accessible only by sea or across bridges from the South Ward.. The South Ward is home to the majority of residents and shops, as well as the impressively restored Parsan buildings that act as the seat of government.   Built on the ruins of the ancient and magical city of Parsa, Tyre is a port town frequented by pirates, thieves and other disreputable folk interested in money. Although life within its walls is dangerous, Tyre can be a very lucrative city. Pirates bring in their goods to be sold to the black market, northern traders frequent the place as a rest stop on their way to frontier communities North, during the warmer months, ready to buy exotic goods, several taverns trade in ale and other spirits, the drugs and slave trades are rife (although obviously sublimated) and information brokers and prostitutes ply their trade during the night-time.   Notable Locations The Cutlass is one of the busiest taverns in the city, a haven for the crews of the pirate ships that docked in the harbor as well as the escorts whom they spend their share of the booty on. It is located close to the lawless harbor, the Dragon Beach.   The Saffron Merchant is an establishment on Setting Sun Street where one could actually get some sleep. However, it was also a place closely watched by the Tower of Zurvan.   Rat Alley was narrow alley crowded by trash, such as crates, and lined on both sides by low storehouses. It was the perfect place for thieves in hiding. The Fried Rat restaurant—which literally served rat meat—is located here.   The Barking Beholder: A run of the mill inn with reasonable prices and a fairly mixed clientele. Most notable for the stuffed and displayed Beholder hanging above the bar, a trophy from a long time ago that has been in the taproom for generations of family ownership.   Ahura Mazda's Embrace - An outdoor temple/spa dedicated to Anahita, goddess of healing. Run by Mobad Armin, a very put together Firbolg.
