Gnomingen is the name of a little city that can be found in the mountains to the north of Queenshaven. It is concealed inside the crater of an extinct volcano. Those who are headed to Gnomingen must first make their way over the Gulf of Queenshaven, after which they must continue their journey on foot, horseback, or in waggons, passing around Gnomerado on their way to the open side of the caldera farther to the east.   Despite the fact that it is located in close proximity to some much colder places that get a significant amount of snow, the city remains always warm as a result of the volcano that lies underneath it. The people of the little valley almost never wear anything longer than short trousers, skirts, and shirts with short or no sleeves even in the dead of winter since the valley is always warm and lush. The warmth also makes it possible for them to cultivate fruit and vegetables throughout the whole year, which enables them to sell their produce at reasonable rates during the cooler months when they export it.
The life of the gnomes living in the village inside the dead volcano is one of serenity and contentment. The gnomes enjoy a peaceful and simple lifestyle, living in small thatched-roof homes and tending to the land around their village. They are a close-knit community, gathering regularly to socialize and share stories of their day-to-day adventures. They grow a variety of crops and fruits on their lands and hunt for game in the nearby forests. They are also skilled craftsmen, weaving intricate baskets and crafting wooden utensils and tools.   The gnomes also have a strong spiritual connection to their home, gathering every night around fires in the village center to share stories, songs and prayers of thanksgiving. They take great pride in the beauty of their home, and they are fiercely protective of it.

Industry & Trade

The majority of the surplus agricultural goods produced by the gnomes are sent to the cities of Perelline and Queenshaven, as well as the gnomish entertainment centre Gnomerado.
The Pot

Deep within the belly of the extinct volcano, a forge glows red-hot with the heat of a thousand fiery furnaces. Inside this smoldering cavern, a small group of gnomes toil away at their craft, hammering and welding metal into intricate tools and mechanical gadgets, using the magma chambers to heat their resources.   The gnomes have built the forge themselves with salvaged materials from across the land. The construction was no small feat - but these industrious little creatures are nothing if not resourceful! They've managed to fashion an impressive array of complex devices, from simple plows to intricate clockwork contraptions.
The gnomes take great pride in their work, carefully crafting each item with skill and precision. They use both ancient techniques passed down through generations, as well as modern techniques they have invented on their own. The result is a unique collection of gadgets that are both beautiful and functional.   Every single one of the devices is kept in Gnomingen and is never offered for sale to anybody outside of the city. Gnomerado, which is also controlled by the gnomes, is the only other location where you may find any of Gnomingen's devices and gadgets.

Because of its location between The Gauntlet and the districts that surround the lake, this neighbourhood offers quick access from all of the manufacturing facilities to the residences of the district's consumers. Due to the fact that practically every adult citizen of the city is manufacturing something, many goods are not purchased but rather exchanged between different merchants. Because everyone is coming to the market, selling or trading their items, purchasing what they need on top of that, and then departing again, the users of the shopping booths are different every hour.

And if the volcano became active again, it would lead to Gnome-aggedon!

Dec 3, 2022 16:00 by Tillerz

Oh noes. Maybe. The gnomes should take measurements to prevent this!
