Burial Practices

Dwarves: Among dwarves it is common for dwarves to cremate their dead and reforge the weapon of their ancestor into a new one (therefore keeping the steel in the family). Dwarves aren't terribly sentimental so they just see death as another step towards the obtaining of wealth for all their race. Some dwarves even have their souls put into Sentry automatons.   Humans: Humans have relatively basic burial practices. Some people prefer to have their dead interred at small graveyards with only small carved bricks as headstones. But cremation on a funeral pyre is equally popular. Landed nobility sometimes have a family mausoleum or a tomb beneath their castle or local temple.   Elves: Elves religiously follow the practice of transferring the souls of their dead into Piran spheres. These spheres are crafted of a polished blue crystal and their production method is a closely guarded secret. In the Age of Wizards, wizards could use Endomic to access and converse with the souls of the dead.   Doubtless there are more burial methods, but they are among the more minority races, and they are recorded vaguely in few books.
