Lord of the Indigo

Lord of the Indigo is a title that can be bestowed upon any merchant born in the elven Kingdom of Tel Ethlos. The title is an honorific that can be revolked at any time. The Lord of the Indigo title can be bestowed on any merchant that sells indigo dye. But most commonly, the merchant who sells the most of this dye is chosen. the Lord of the Indigo must wear indigo robes to mark his title. This stems from the days where indigo was the largest export of Tel'Ethlos. In olden days, this title had responsiblities, but not anymore. Although the title does grand a large amount of prestige and credibility to the bearer. The official signet is a gold ring.
