Griffin Pelson

Griffin Pelson was born and raised in Trellech. His father owned a department store that was smaller in Griffin's childhood until expanding to take over several nearby shops before his retirements. It left Griffin with a deep love for and knowledge of Trellech.   During the Great War, Griffin was assigned to a company of miners digging tunnels as part of an attack on the Front. (He suggests that someone saw the Monmouthshire address and assumed he knew mining.)   As he explains in Facets of the Bench, an event there left him bedridden for months to balance and muscle weakness issues. He spent some time at Gospatrick House with Elen and Roland Gospatrick He returned to his work in the Courts in 1920s as an ambulatory wheelchair user.
