Guilds and Factions
The Silver Hand: The Silver Hand had a small base in the town. It was originally used as a halfway house between Wesdale and Norford. The base has moved to Dunmer, however this was a setback for the guild as moving within the city has proved more difficult than compared to Dalthorpe.
History
Dalthorpe was once a thriving town. Located between The Quassir Belt, the River Algor and the River Boreus, it was one of the Dunmer province's primary trading posts, supplying the surrounding area, including cities as far as Wesdale and Norford, with ore, precious stones, livestock and fish. Like all settlements in the province, it had zero tolerance for races with mixed heritage (such as half-elves, genasi and tieflings). However, many who lived here would actively hunt down groups of these people, either to drive them away or to kill them for sport (seeing them all as lesser beings).
Recently, one of these hunting parties came across a group of genasi hiding in the lower region of The Quessir Belt, however their plans backfired when one of the fire genasi they found killed them and proceeded to go on a murderous rampage, destroying the town and part of the nearby Old Oak Weald (now named The Ebony Weald after the blackened remains of the tress). Most of the townsfolk were killed, however some did escape to nearby settlements.
These days, the town is completely abandoned, it's remains untouched and left for nature to reclaim. However, the story of its destruction is still fresh in the minds of those who survived and the neighbouring settlements.
Architecture
The buildings were made from a combination of timber and stone from the nearby forest and mountains, however most are now in complete disrepair: the woodwork burned, returning to the earth, and the stonework blackened, with harsh thickets (capable of growing in the charred soil) beginning to envelope it.
Geography
Dalthorpe lies off the main road, in a portion of lowland by the river Boreus shadowed by The Quassir Belt.
