The Newport Council

Structure

Leading Families: The Anderwins, the Davenfields and the Rottlands.
The council consists of memebers from each of the major merchant families. The council is lead by three families, who are ellected every four years. Together, the council debates matters related to the running of the city. If a decision has to be made, each family makes it's case and the three leading families vote on what decision is to be made.
Important families and their trade:
Anderwin (Half-Elf) - canvas cloth and silk.
Davenfield (Human) - livestock.
Rottland (Halfling) - grain and flour.
