Thrinzilk
History
Thrinzilk was once a great dwarven city named Corutharn (coming from the words coruscate and 'tharn', meaning lust in dwarvish), which dated back to the Prime Milenia. It found its fame and wealth from the coruscate which could be found within its mines. As the city expanded throughout the Age of Ascension, it was discovered that the city was built into a dormant volcano, so all future expansions moved to outside the mountain, forming inner and outer districts. The outer district was build one three staircased levels, with the highest atconnected to the iner districts and each subsequent level progress down a valley formed by two ridges leading from the mountain.
During The Aspect Wars, the city was besieged by the forces of Tiamat, where it subsequently became the home of Queen Ixenvor at the wars' close, where she renamed it Thrinzilk ('palace' in draconic). For 500 year, Ixenvor used the inner district as the home of her hoard and research, while the outer district became the barracks, for The Red Scales, her half-dragon army.
The city was eventually completely destroyed after the adventuring arty of Baran Emberglade, Brockley, Enna Goldpetal and Synthrix Feldrane thrawted Ixenvor's attempts to ascends to great wym status, killing her and triggering an erruption from the volcano. This erruption flooded the inner district as well as much of the outer district with lava, leaving only some of its outer-most fortifcations and buildings from its lowest level remaining.
