Torog, the Crawling King
God of the Underdark
Description
Torog is the evil god of The Underdark and the patron of jailers and torturers. Common superstition holds that if his name is spoken, the King the Crawls burrows up from below and drags the hapless speaker underground to an eternity of imprisonment and torture. Jailers and torturers pray to him in deep caves and cellars, and creatures of The Underdark revere him as well. Following his tenets, Torog desires his followers to seek out the deepest places of the world, expanding his empire. He also wishes for them to maliciously restrain though they have control over (whether that be a prisoner in their charge, a hostage they have taken, or fools in their employ) and revel in any physical or emotional anguish they can inflict on them.Tenets of The Crawling King

History
The Prime Millenia
When Torog first became aware of Albion and cast his gaze upon it, he was displease with what he saw. Disappointed by the efforts of the dwarves and other subterranean creatures of the world, he exerted his influence on the world and began to carve this realm's Underdark. To it, he called all creatures and people who the world shunned, chiefest among them the drow, but also many dwarves and gnomes which later became the duergar and the svirfneblin (deep gnomes). Eventually, word of this global network of tunnels reached much of the word as a place of evil creatures terror, a reputation which pleased The Crawling King. The Age of Ascension
To Be Confirmed. The Post-Aspect Era (The Era of Restoration)
Even with Albion attempting to settle after the events of The Aspect Wars, Torog's agenda remained consistent and unchanged. Content with the dominion he created and the creature which now dwell within it, he now simply desires for his followers to bring him more of that which he delights in: more terror, more anguish, and more pain for the poor, unfortunate souls his worshippers capture and bring into that darkness.Worship
