Analul Nedefinit - The Indefinite Annal
Known as the Analul Nedefinit in the Old Venisian dialect spoken in Foraoise de Venin, this journal is more commonly referred to by its Avalonian name, L'annale Indéfinie (Common trans. "The Indefinite Annal").
According to High Reminiscentia Archaeamphora An Venimeux Inmortui regarding the Annal, it was given this name due to the mysterious circumstances under which it was written, recovered, and researched: following her discovery of the pristinely preserved book in the so-called 'Disappearing Lighthouse' mobile research center off the eastern shore Offing of Lumieres Morte in 183 EG/LL The Reminiscentia was able to date the text to approximately the year 9 EG/LL, but have found few to no indicators as to the identity of its author.

Historical Details
Background
Though little is known about the background of the Indefinite Annal itself, history and the Reminiscentia have provided us with 10,000 years worth of research on the subject - while much of it remains hypothetical and unconfirmed, countless forensic historical inquiries by Reminiscentienne have been able to determine a few concrete facts about it:
Trace amounts of soil found between the pages of L'Annale Indéfinie at the time of its discovery confirm that the text was written or at least begun before the year 10 L'ere de L'aube. Further analysis of the soil following consultation with the Racine of House Alluvium found minute amounts of Síoraín Pitch, Incarnadine, bone fragments, Nescian Lucide, and Abyssopelagic salt concurrent with normal levels recorded between 1 and 33 L'ere de L'aube and gravitational drift following An Riomh.
Notably later deposits traditionally show exponentially increased deposits of preternatural residue in the soil, likely a result of the battles of Lumieres Mortes and Malicia.
Legacy
Despite millennia of study, little is known of the background of this book. Due to the numerous layers of magical protection and concealment placed upon the text, High Reminiscentia An Venimeux is noted as speculating that the Annal does not want to be known and is in fact working to keep its secrets and its author concealed. Considered one of Anima's greatest unsolved mysteries, numerous attempts to guess or determine the identity of the author have been made but none have been bolstered by indefatigable evidence and it remains a common thought exercise used to teach initiates of the Reminiscentia.
Recent research efforts made by Tiptoe Gilgeira of the Burgess Renitentia have resulted in the translation of the first 10 pages of the Analul, which is more than has been translated previously and has brought new and perplexing information to light with regard to the identity of the author.
