Animist Calendar

The sister realms of Anima operate on a separate calendar from Albion beginning at the start of Anima's history over 10,500 years ago. The Animist year is marked by the gravitational field generated by Avalon during its rotations in situ (ending in Ensevelissement - Gravitational Shrouding) and consists of 13 28-day months.

WHEEL OF THE YEAR

• Monelight (Aafje, Blanchefleur, Darklis) - Winter period, Avalon is drenched in moonlight with no natural sunlight for 3 months
• Anthesis (Myrto, Natale, Nepenthe) - Spring period when the living organisms of Avalon burst into life. Also the time in which House Le Fay - Uxores Mortis typically exit expectantes terram and are untombed to begin their next cycle
• Eucatast (Ostosia, Proxima, Rhexenor) - Summer period focused on the celebration of life/its peaceful endings/beginnings
• Glowan (Sanassis, Voulgaris, Síoraí) - Autumnal period marking beginning of Inmortui high holy season
• Alamort (Cathasach) - Holiday Period of absolute darkness at the end of the year when the Isle of Avalon finishes its rotation in situ. Lasts all 28 days of Cathasach and is used as a time of reflection on family, duty, and death.
