Ensevelissement - Gravitational Shrouding

At the end of the Animist year on the 1st day of Cathasach when the floating realm of the Isle of Avalon finishes its rotation in situ, due to the natural gravitational field created by the increased proximity of its magical leylines relative to the tides of Le Mer de Eaux Mortes, it is without moonlightand plunged into complete darkness save for the lights visible from tertiary moon Limnoreia and Offing of Lumieres Morte. The Memoriam Inanimatam have categorized this phenomenon as Ensevelissement (or, "gravitational shrouding"), a term coined by acclaimed Memoriam expeditionist and magical naturalist Sojourne Seiliegh  in her treatist Les Triples Lunes D'Avalon.

Localization

This phenomenon does not affect Broceliande and is localized to the Isle of Avalon as a result of a convergence of natural magical leylines from which it is believed all life in Avalon originated.
