Cathasach An Briotánach

Cathasach Loch Briotánach- Conmhaícne Mara, I (a.k.a. Thasach, Briotánach)

Born Cathasach of Conmhaícne Mara of the early Conmhaichne people of mortal Ireland, wandered through the woods into Broceliande by accident in the midst of leading his people away from Norman conquerors. There he met Aafje Loch Fae de La Mort and, bewitched by her strange and beautiful nature, never returned to the mortal world in favor of a life at her side as King Cathasach An Briotánach I, the first King of the Lake.

Tragically beloved king, husband, and father Catasach perished heroically in Brutadch Na Síoraí, during which he sacrificed his own immortal life to quell the volcano’s rage. He remains forever frozen in Síoraí laibhe fathoms beneath the surface of Nepenthe beside the heart of Feall Síoraí. His sacrifice did not get lost to time, however: the 13th month of the Animist Calendar  is named Cathasach.
