Les Triples Lunes D'Avalon
Written by renowned magical naturalist Sojourne Seiliegh , Les Triples Lunes D'Avalon (Common trans. "The Triple Moons of Avalon") is the first of her magizoological treatises and a transcription of her findings during her explorations of the capital city of Atavis between the years of 56-58 L'ere de L'aube during a solo expedition on behalf of the newly all-gender Memoriam Inanimatam.
Painstakingly catalogued from Seiliegh's original field notes, the tome explores the relationship of Avalon and its ecosystems to its own moons as well as careful study of the moons themselves, defining each moon of Avalon and interviewing the Reàltaí, who created it long before the souls of Anima had words or skill with which to write.

Historical Details
Background
This treatise was the first detailed study into the moons of Avalon and remains the primary text on the subject.
SAVIEZ-VOUS?
Avalon operates on a tertiary lunar model, the floating island being at the center of and held in place by the gravitational pull of its three moons, thus ensuring that the Isle of the Blessed remains aloft (and that its indigent unicorns and kelpies remain well-satiated). Its three moons are as follows, named for the eponymous members of House Fuil na Réaltaí:
- Galatea, La Lune Volée (Common trans. "Galatea, The Stolen Moon"),Spectral lavender light shines all year long until Alamort, when mischievous Spectra Voleuse transcends her form to become an owl as big as the night sky and howls, frightening her out of sight so that the souls of Anima may reflect on their own luminescence and, ideally, transcendence. Located directly above Terremorte.
- Spectra Voleuse (Common trans. Spectra the Thief), whose brilliant blue light shines the brightest in the night sky over Avalon. Also referred to as "Bluestar." Located directly above Avalon and the city of Atavis and the zenith of the leylines converging under the soil of Anima.
- Limnoreia Le Sanglant, Limnoreia Le Gardien de La Paix (Common trans. Limnoreia the Bloodsoaked, Limnoreia the Peacekeeper), whose hazy red light is the only light by which to see in Avalon during Alamort. Located directly above Le Venin/Foraoise de Venin. Said to be the best moon under which to perform acts of great and/or impossible magic. Also the moon under which Bloodfasting ceremonies are held.
