History
Following the death of King Arthur at the hands of Mordred, Archmage Merlin worked with Queen Guinevere to develop the Order of the Spellsword, a fellowship of mages sworn to the service and protection of Camelot alongside the Knights of the Round Table. While not entirely a surprise in the years since Arthur ascended the throne, this marks the first law of its kind in Camelot's history.
Cultural Significance
This is the first law of its kind in Camelot's history - mages, sorcerers, witches, and casters are not only free to practice ancestral and learned magicks without retribution, the best and brightest of them come from all over the continent of Albion and seek to serve the kingdom of Camelot.
