Kephic (Keff ICK)

Most believe the Dwarf’s language is known as Kephic, this is only partially true. Kephic is the written script of the people, while Waten, or more commonly Dwarvish, is the spoken word. Kephic is the first written language of Aldern that are still used today. The language may change, but the letters stay the same. Most of the modern writing systems take their base alphabet from the Kephic.

Kephic is written horizontally, left to right, in the modern day, however in the ages past it was written vertically starting in the top left. The Stonefoot Carvings are still written this way out of tradition, even if other texts are not.
