Nanaras
the First Boon
The Nanaras people are the near mythical ancestors to the Boon people of the Na Boon archipelago in the Dark Hemisphere of Aldern. In the lore of the Boon people, the Nanaras were born into the world on Yoake Shima after the islands were created in fire and water. From there they spread to the other islands becoming the modern Boon of today. The scholars of the Jenuwan Order estimate these people were native to the major continent of Ethae in prehistory and migrated somehow to the islands of Na Boon at some point after the Na Boon Super Volcano erupted creating the archipelago. This is why they, and the Boon are categorized in the Ismon ethnic group. There is little evidence of either theory being correct, with little else to go on, both cultures are adamant their version is correct.
The Nanaras are believed to have used shale, bone, and shell tools. This theory comes from the abondance of archeological sites with such tools around the southern coast of Yoake Shima. According to Boon traditions, the Nanaras were the first swimmer, teaching it to their descendants. The legends around these people also claim they ate not from the land, living entirely off fish, crustations, and the sea vegetation of the coral reefs in the waters of Na Boon.
