Session 5: Welcome to Verdant Watch Report

General Summary

The party has defeated Klarg and have gathered their spoils. The money, helmet and dagger have been placed in the party's bag of holding. Axol befriends Ripper, Klargs warwolf, and decieves it into following on her adventure. 
The party gathers the Lionshield supplies and carts them off. Sildar and Zaph quickly pass out as the rest make camp. No issues happen at night.
The party travels the next day with no issues but a storm surges on the horizon. A few travelers head south towards Castleshore but nothing of note.
As night approaches, the party is able to spot refuge at an old farmstead. Seeing nobody home, the group takes shelter in the barn. Axol takes first watch but nothing occurs.
Zaph on the other hand is not so lucky. having dozed off he is unaware of the old man that has suprised him from the shadows and hold a knife to his throat. Not wanting to become a pincushion, zaph does as he is instructed until he finds amout to release a torrent of light that staggers the old man. The spell also rouses the others from their slumber and prepare for combat. The light reveals the old man to be an older orc. After a brief moment of tension, Val is able to defuse the situation. The orc introduces himself as Dushkul Burzag, a member of a well known farming family and somehow connected tot he Crusaders of Dawn. Dushkul recognizes Charles, at least the name of him and his father from long in the past. Dushkul invites the party in for better shelter and limps off towards the house.
