Parenna

Structure

Parenna is a monarchy that has been ruled by the Andromeda family since before anyone can remember. The current ruler is Julen Andromeda, alongside his wife Saris until her untimely death. His younger daughter Onyx wishes to give the throne to her older sister Diamond and is part of a rebellion to that end.
Julen’s predecessor was his father King Cordier, who killed Julen’s older brother Carnelian to put Julen on the throne. Cordier’s wife Beryl wasn’t a huge fan of that and left Parenna entirely, moving to The Hylands and taking on a new name

. Julen’s younger sister Sphene also moved to The Hylands and became one of The Dewinen.

Territories

Cordier and Julen have expanded Parenna to encapsulate Scythia, Thienid, and several minor countries.

Military

Parenna hoards its resources, thus creating stronger weapons than its neighbors with resources only Parenna knows about. They have stronger metals, and even some gems that they’ve been able to turn into power sources or building materials. Its strongest faction is its navy, with cavalry in second.

Parenna uses gems as currency. A moonstone is equal to a platinum coin elsewhere. There are four opals to a moonstone (equal to a gold coin each), ten rubies (equal to a silver coin each), twenty beryls (equal to a bronze coin each), and one hundred diamonds (equal to an iron coin each).
