Drassia Union (Dra · See · Ah)
The Drassia Union is considered a kind of public interest, formed by a dozen or so micor-companies and groups. Most of its members were smaller research groups, exploration corps, and even mining conglomerates. All in an effort to stand against the iron grip of the mega-companies, together the Union would better worlds for the people. Their research would not be for profit, but prosperity of man. Worlds charted, worlds found, and homes built. All of this would be made possible with the help of the miners and their resources that would fund, build, and help keep the Union alive and healthy.
After the release of Robert Morse's Space Beast and several incident of company bioweapons blacksites incidnets becoming public knowledge, even if only through rumors, the public has become weary of the companies. With what some call the best public relations team anywhere the Union has turned this in their favor to gain public approval and call more people to their cause. Though even at their best they, like so many other, still msut contend with companies, such as Weyland-Yutani, Lasaalle Bionational. They, like the other companies, must also anwser to the ICC.
Structure
The Drassia Union is overseen by the Korum, a group of th leaders from the shareholders that created and or have joined and made significant contributions to the Union and it's people. Through democratic discussion and voting the Korum is run much like one of the old nations of Earth.
Public Agenda
The Drassia Union exsist to help better the worlds of Humanity through scientific advancement and exploration of stars unknown or lost to us, such as the lost colonies. They aren't contracted to any of the companies and have worked hard to fight against their greed, experimentations, and blacksites that have cost more lives than they've ever saved.
Territories
The Drassia Union has established numerous colonies across the heavens, though most are small in compariosn to what already exsist there. Though in 2182 they established their first major foothold on the edge of the northern frontier of the outer rim terriroies, in AQL-9217. There they established the Ferros Research Outpost on the fifth planet, AQL VII. Shortly there after they towed in an old station they had purchased and begun retrofiting and refurbishing it as their own, Empok Station.

Military
The Union doesn't have any formal military, but they have in times of need been able to afford the occasional contengent of marines. Most of their security forces are made of security forces from its membership and mercenaries.
Foreign Relations
There's no secret that the Union opposes most of the companies, like Weyland-Yutani, but they still maintain a diplomatic front as to not upset their competetior and there is no secret that there have been attempts to buy out or bankrupt the Union.

Currency
The Union accepts most forms of major currency, to make life easier for all involved. They're also aware that they can't remove the other companies from the lives of their people completely. Though they, like most others, pay their people in a company or faction specific currency called the Union Credit, UC¢.
The UC¢ is a recongonized currency by the ICC, and most trade brokerages. This allows reputable and licensed exchanges to convert it into other currencies.
Legislative Body
The Korum is the governing body of the Drassia Union, made of a representative from founding orgnizations, or organizations that have joined the Union and made a signifancet contribution to its continued growth and prosperity of its people.
At current the Korum sits at 23 members, that discuss and vote on policy, major decisions of the Union, and even help maintain diplomatic relations with outside factions.
Executive Body
The Korum also acts as the Executive body of the Union.
