Survey Peak-1

Initial surveying commenced on 2120.07.13 led by Lee "Big Daddy" Gittens. Surveying identified likely veins of precious minerals (silver, copper), trace amounts of gold, and a clear vein of iron.   Following guidance from Organizational Statement-1, Team Boreas, led by Lee "Big Daddy" Gittens commenced on 2120.07.15. Following more detailed readings, Poppy Thatcher reassigned Team Artemis to pursue ongoing study at the site. Additional pathways within the region were cleared for study on 2120.07.21, preceded by lifeform and materials study by Dolores Banks.

Site Details

In addition to the mineral rich aspects, the nearby cave system includes:
  • Sedimentary structures that appear to be grown in some manner of speaking. An organic substance was grown from or adhered onto the naturally forming stone, creating a vascular system for carrying nutrients and developing a tough, chitinous layer atop the stone. This chitinous layer is smooth and very tough, though degraded with age. The result is a cave the resembles a rib-cage with vertebrae like segments.
  • The cave includes an ecosystem of small invertebrates and a axolotl-like olm creature. Snebly Watercress recorded and named various of these creatures during study on 2120.07.19-20 including the Enochian Pouncing Shrimp and the Violet Shepherd Fish, though invertebrate worms, fish, rudimentary plant life were also observed.
