Contact with Hadley's Hope is lost on Lv-426. A colonial Marine detachment is sent to Lv-426 accompanied by Ripley and Burke. Marines discover the colonist have been cocooned, xenomorph attacks marines. The survivors attempt to retreat but xenomorphs destroy their dropship. Bishop call down second dropship. Xenomorphs attack the survivors with a second wave, Burke, Hudson, Vasquez, and Gorman die. Newt is captured by the xenomorphs and Hicks is injured. Ripley rescues newt, only to infuriate xenomorph Queen. Bishop evacuates the only survivors Ripley, Hicks and Newt. Xenomorph Queen had snuck onboard dropship, dismantles Bishop. Ripley fights Queen with Powerloader and jettison out of the airlock.

The narcissus was left adrift for 57 years until a scavenger ship chanced upon it. Ripley and Jonesy were taken to Gateway Station. After recovering in the station’s hospital, Ripley is taken to the ICC board of directors for questioning. While the ICC didn’t believe Ripley’s story, Weyland Yutani representative Burke did. In doing so Burke ordered a prospector to investigate the region of the derelict ship; Hadley’s Hope suddenly stopped reporting shortly afterwards. The colony was overrun with xenomorphs within days. Burke convinced Ripley to come aboard the Colonial Marine expedition to Lv-426 as an adviser. The USS Sulaco arrives at the Zeta reticuli system within a few weeks. The Marines, Burke, and Ripley departed from the sulaco on a UD4-Cheyenne Dropship to the planet surface. The colony was seemingly abandoned. The Marines discovered there was indeed a fire fight between the colonists and the xenomorphs. The only survivor was a girl named newt. Shortly afterwards the marines discovered the rest of the colonists, unfortunately they were already dead. Save for one, a woman named Mary, who shortly dies from a chestburster birth. After destroying the chestburster, the marines accidentally awakened the dormant xenomorphs. A fire fight broke out shortly afterwards only three grunts survived the retreat back to the APC. They sent for the dropship to pick them up, unfortunately a xenomorph snuck aboard the starcraft causing it to crash.   The remaining expedition team struggles to figure out a solution to flee the planet. The atmosphere processor’s reactor was ruptured from the earlier fire fight. Burke’s plans to preserve the facehugger specimens was found out by Ripley. Bishop decides to head off to the comray to remotely send down the second dropship. Bishop encounters a few xenomorphs on his way but due to being synthetic they ignore him. The marines set up four sentry guns to deal with the xenomorphs. Angry Burke releases the facehuggers on sleeping Ripley and Newt before locking the door. Ripley awakens alarmed, after discovering their door was locked she attempts to call for help before activating the fire alarm to get the marine’s attention. The marines rush in to save Ripley and Newt from the tiny xenomorphs. Burke is detained for his actions but the power is cut off by the xenomorphs. The second wave of xenomorphs arrives shortly afterwards, Burke escapes during the chaos only to be captured by a xenomorph warrior. Hudson is captured by a xenomorph after it ambushes Hudson through the floor.   The rest of the survivors flee into the air ducts, the xenomorphs pursue them but are halted by Gorman and Vaquez blowing themselves up to halt the xenomorphs after their other options were exhausted. Newt falls into the colony’s sewer system, Ripley and Hicks are forced to leave the air ducts to find her but she is captured by the xenomorphs. Ripley and Hicks retreat to the outside, but a xenomorph attacks them in the elevator. Hicks is injured by its acid blood after they killed the lone warrior. Ripley demands Bishop to take her to the unstable atmosphere processor inorder to save Newt. Once there Ripley takes the elevator as she searches for Newt. She saves Newt from a facehugger before the two escape deeper in the hive. The queen is discovered, Ripley threatens the Queen’s eggs. The queen tells her royal guards to retreat, but the queen orders one of her eggs to open. Forcing Ripley to fire upon the rest of the queen’s eggs and remaining warriors. Ripley and Newt quickly retreat to the elevators, while an angry Queen follows them.   Bishop arrives late but manages to save Ripley and Newt, however the dropship accidentally picks up the xenomorph queen. Onboard the sulaco the hidden Xenomorph Queen impales Bishop before ripping him in half. The Queen is later beaten by Ripley in a Power Loader and is jettisoned from the ship’s dropship airlock.   The Sulaco arrives at the nearest anchorpoint station, Newt is sent to Earth to live with relatives while Ripley mysteriously disappeared and Hicks was reassigned. For reasons unknown the Sulaco was sent to penal world Fury 161 before returning to Lv-426.
