Upper Gardens Farmers Market
In the spring and summer the Upper Gardens district hosts a small weekly farmers market, citizens from across the city enjoy attending. There is a drive in the city, especially among the younger residents, to eat locally produced food and to support small businesses.
History
This market is less than five years old. It was started by students when the city started to become more globally connected. They needed a way to 'counterbalance' the destruction they felt came from the Dwarven Corporations.
Execution
Two blocks on one street are blocked off. Vendors set up booths in the early morning and take them down in the late afternoon. There were so many vendors interested in participating, the organizers decided to use a rotating schedule. Each week has different vendors, keeping things interesting and diverse.
