The Sovereign City of Turukaar

The Dwarves of The Sovereign City of Turukaar have long since been renowned for their expertise in smithing and architectural prowess. This fame comes from Queen Nazzoulda Oredigger of centuries past and her discovery of Uthorhilium. This particular ore helped shape the growing capital of these eastern Dwarves and their understanding of metals and gave them an edge of rival clans. Mithril in the east had been outclassed much to many's dismay.

Using Uthorhilium, the Turukaar were able to infuse its pure form with metals and magic alike. This substance rocketed the Turukaar into their age of enlightenment. It allowed them to build massive cavernous cities in the belly of their mountain ripe with architectural genius and structural soundness. Uthorhilium also allowed the Turukaar to produce many legendary magical artifacts. Everything from mundane hammers to powerful and dangerous weapons was infused with the metal. It seemed to amplify the magical properties or the structural integrity of whatever it was infused with.

Their architecture bought them commission work from neighboring cities, and their artifacts were sold all across Lothlonde. Most weapons in modern lore were crafted by ancient Turukaar weapon smiths. They were so mass-produced, because of such high demand, that they were commonplace among the elite of the world. This high usage in both architecture and item crafting soon lead to a shortage of Uthorhilium. The mines ran dry only a few decades after its initial discovery. But so much had been mined, smiths had decades more Uthorhilium to utilize. When the stockpiles ran dry, the value of the Turukaar's work only increased. What was once a commodity was now scarce and had a rarity value keeping the kingdom's wealth well above others of its kind.
