Anuel started searching for jobs or apprenticeships related to drawing, painting, and craftsmanship as soon as he was old enough to work. He landed an apprenticeship at a local art studio that offered all aspects of art forms. Over time, he climbed the ranks and became an official employee while still finishing up his apprenticeship during the first year and a half of his employment. Anuel found another apprenticeship near his college and worked at a nearby summer camp for kids during the summer breaks when he had no classes. After completing college, Anuel was offered a job at a sister location of the art studio where he had an apprenticeship, located in Opaena. Seeking to broaden his horizons and improve his art, he accepted the job and later traveled to Sestria after visiting his family. After working in Sestria, for around a decade, Anuel decided it was time for a change and moved to Iunia, Zostron. However, before he could make the move, Eirika, the Elven Goddess of Music, visited him at the art studio during his final days of work. During her visit, Eirika asked Anuel to create twelve portrait paintings of her on custom-made scrolls. Recognizing the unique opportunity, Anuel agreed without hesitation.
