Aephir Ealdwine, Professor of Dragonology at Aetherwind College, is a Human Carvosi wizard currently residing at the Aetherwind College in the elven city of Lor'Thal.

Since the blue dragons of Lor'Thal have steadily reduced in size and strength, Prof. Ealdwine has developed a slight drinking problem, preferring the spiced fire rum shipped in from Sartosia.

Despite his occasional drunkeness and slurred speech, Prof. Ealdwine is an extremely intelligent individual, and is one of the few mages with over 600 published works, all of which focus on the biological, magical, and metaphysical elements of dragons.
