The Aetherwind College
The Aetherwind College was established early during Lor'Thal's founding to help the Elves understand, as well as expand their knowledge of, the shadow magic their race has used for eons. After the blue dragonflight pledged allegiance to the Elves of Lor'Thal, the Roost was built and placed under the care of the college to ensure every mage was able to access a familiar.
Notable Locations within the College
The Arch-Magistar's Chambers
The Arch-Magistar has his own chambers at the top of the College's central tower. From here, the Arch-Magister deals with research approvals, curriculum discussions, and receives fellow councillers from the Lor'Thal council to discuss governance.
These chambers are split over two levels, with the Magistar's personal study and office on the lower level, and their bedding and retirement on the upper. The chambers also comes with its own personal assistant that handles the Arch-Magistar's schedule.
The Archives
Not to be confused with the Great Library, The Archives of Aetherwind College are a trove of registered students and court mages through Allheim, along with any Magic-related research papers and knowledge the Arch-Magistar deems too dangerous for publishing onto the Great Library's shelves.
The Aetherlabs
Housing all sorts of weird and wonderful research, The Aetherlabs are where the Mages of Aetherwind study the intricies of magic, or create strange new spells or magically-infused inventions.
The Roost
Once the Blue Dragonflight pledged its allegiance to the Aetherwind College, The Roost was constructed to house any dragons kept within Lor'Thal, as well as provide a nursery for the continued breeding of Blue Dragons.
Purpose / Function
The Aetherwind College was built as a destination to teach and experiment with the Shadow magic that permeates Allheim, as well as breed and train the Blue dragons the mages use to augment their powers.
