Changelings

The Changelings are a strange race shaped by a history of Chaos. The first Changelings were created by the Fey as a means to infiltrate the mortal realm or replace stolen children, which is where much of the Stigma surrounding them comes from. But these are not the Changelings of the modern world. Long before the Purge War the Fey stopped using Changelings and instead opted merely to take what they pleased which made changelings near useless to the Fey and the population dwindled with each generation.
Until the Divine Spring began to become unstable. It was at this point and shunned and Outcast changeling was given the powers of a God and they were free to do with it what they pleased. They became The One with No Face. The One began to create their own Changelings, those who could change their face and body at will not simply adopt the form of another. They have been elusive since their ascension, near impossible to track and never having been spoken to directly.
The One now leaves their "Children" wherever they believe they will cause the most interesting scenarios. Changelings themselves are mischevious and often cause chaos wherever they go. Those that have non changeling parents are almost universally shunned by them and cast out to live on the streets.
