Common Vampire

The Lowest of the Vampires of Barovia, these vampires are the ones who act as servants and attendants to the other Vampires of Barovia. They may ascend to greater heights by showing an abnormal degree of aptitude with a particular skillset. Once per year 10 of these may ascend to Lesser Vampires within one of the five houses of Barovia, then acting as actual members of the households. These vampires suffer no ill effects from the sun and do not reform their bodies if they are destroyed. They suffer no other abnormal effects aside from an ever growing thirst for blood, they need only feed periodically but if they fail to feed then they may be executed for violence against the nobility. They are not permitted to feed on the mortals within the noble houses and so must feed on the peasant folk of the realm, an act that grows ever harder to accomplish.
