Complexity and Design
The Arcane Guardians are incredibly advanced and far beyond most other constructs in the world except the warforged. They use a different type of sentience than most golems, as golems or normaly spirits trapped in a artificial body. Instead of a spirit trapped within a clay or stone body, the arcane guardians are more like an artifical body given a spirit or at least some sort of sentience. The guardians are capable of intelligent problem solving, strategizing and even some semblance of mental evolution depending on how much experience and how long they have existed. This evolution is almost just speculated, but older guardians show signs of greater strategy against intruders. Their bodies are not as complex as their mental counterpart. They have thin frames built upon a singular wheel used for motion, and their body has four limbs which are decorated and equipped with tools necessary for their duty. Drills, claws and mechanical tools are the most common, but some are equipped with much more powerful items like magic items. They also have great sensors and have truesight which helps them see through illusons, disguises and other forms of deceptions used by intruders. Their core which powers their sentience and motor functions can also unleash a powerful beam of pure force that can disintegrate victims. Force Powered: Whenever the guardian is subjected to force damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of Hit Points equal to the force damage dealt. If the number of hit points regained is more than its max hit points it gains it in temporary hit points. Immutable Form: The guardian is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form. Magic Resistance: The guardian has advantage on Saving Throws against Spells and other magical effects. Magic Weapons: The guardian’s weapon attacks are magical.
Actions
Multiattack: The Arcane Guardian makes four slam attacks: Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 1d8+3 bludgeoning damage Energy Shot (Recharges on a long rest): The Arcane Guardian unleashes a 5ft wide 60ft long beam of green force energy from its chest’s core. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 45 10d8 force damage on a fail and half as much on a successful save.
